Lindsay, Chad & the Boys: Anytime!

As Dylan and I made the 3 hr. treck back to Syracuse from Albany, a little piece of me just couldn’t stop smiling. Once again, I have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support of my clients. When we were leaving this shoot, Lindsay said, “I think I want your job!! It seems SO fun!” She hit the nail on the head.

Lindsay and Chad are returning clients who have a family I’ve absolutely fallen in love with. And their baby boy turning 6 months old meant I got to hang out with them once again! We started out at The Crossings in Colonie, and wrapped up shooting at their sweet home, just in time to devour Lindsay’s gourmet (yes, gourmet!) barbecue chicken and onion pizza with apple/strawberry/feta salad and mango dressing. YUM.

So without further ado…

Lindsay and Chad are so ridiculously in love. I LOVE IT.

This baby has the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen. No doubt.

Call me a nerd, but.. Composition win! :)

Such a happy boy!! I want to steal him. (No, really.)

Dylan’s angle. I love how we’re all so desperate for the baby to keep smiling! :)

The whole fam.

Brothas. :)

I asked for attitude. And attitude was what I got!

WORK. IT.

Lindsay, you are beyond gorgeous!!

I call this one: Parents. :)

I melted into a big, ripply puddle when I saw my work all over their walls!! Then I took some pictures of my pictures (after asking Lindsay if that was weird.) :) Soo honored. Check out the rest of these images *here*.

Loving what the grain adds to this image.

I think I’m in love.

You thought I was kidding about the eyes?

Love this shot Dylan captured!!

Look at this little man’s legs!!

I could NOT get over this gorgeous window light. I think this image is going into my favorites-pile.

Enjoying a little lunch with us. :)

And drool has never looked so cute!

Happy Thursday!

Tidbit Tuesday #23

Twenty-three Tuesdays ago, my Tuesdays changed forever… :)

I can’t even describe how fast life is moving. (Broken record?) It’s nearly too much to handle, but it’s still so exciting and fun! We get married in seven weeks!!! I like to think of it as just a little over a month, rather than just under two. It just sounds sooner. :) Now graduation.. Well THAT happens in just over 3 weeks. OH. MY. LANTA. Sixteen years of formal education is coming to a sweet, sweet end. Not to mention that we’re moving 1,899 miles away. (Sorry mom and dad, I should have warned you not to read that sentence…)

Dylan is in Houston this week for work. Perfect timing, right? He’s planning to scope out some neighborhoods in Midtown and find the right one for us! Is anyone else’s dream neighborhood straight out of Father of the Bride? Then comes the apartment search.. I’m already looking at paint colors. This is way too much fun!!

Today is the 11-year anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre. That day shook my whole world as an 11-year old girl, particularly the stories of Rachel Scott and Cassie Bernall. Take a little time today, to remember.

On a completely different note, I ate Lucky Charms this morning. And even drank the greenish/blue milk afterwards. :)

Okay, back to Houston. Just some exciting facts! Houston is the 4th largest city in the US, has more than 11,000 restaurants (and hopefully just as many gyms!), has the second largest theatre district (trailing NYC, of course), has a ginormous museum district (can’t wait to get my learn on!).

We finally nailed down the order of our ceremony. WAM. BAM.

Photographer of the week: Bobby Earle. Bobby is a wedding photographer and world traveler based out of San Diego and works along side his adorable (and pregnant!) wife, Lindsay. And together, they take ridiculously creative images. Totally check out his blog and website! :)

Started shooting our sweet little promo video this past weekend. Can I tell you how in love I am with video footage from a DSLR? It’s just soo creamy! (Dylan laughs at me when I use the term creamy. Can anyone vouch for me??)

Song of the week (and every week, let’s be real..): Let’s Get Married (ReMarqable Remix) feat. Jagged Edge and Run DMC. If you ever wanna see me bust some crazy moves, just play this song. :)

As of next week, I will be a featured Houston vendor on TheKnot.com. So direct all of your friends! :)

Here’s a tiny sneak peek of Thursday’s bloggity! This family has absolutely stolen my heart!!

Happy Tuesday!

FaithAnn Young - You are one beautiful woman! And your own photography business? I’d like to think your humble kindergarten and 4th grade teacher motivated you to acheive the kind of success you enjoy today. Did I say humble? I’m so proud of you Alyse!! Congratulations on your engagement, again, and enjoy every moment. If we’re in Houston ever I’m coming knockin’ at your door! Best wishes!

Noël - They are all sooo cute!!

My brother. I mean, my husband.

You know that old husband and wife down the street who look exactly the same? It always blows my mind how two very different-looking people can evolve into each other as the years go by. My sister, however, seems to think Dylan and I have a head-start. “You two look like brother and sister.” Umm, weird.

So.. What say you? Are we already related? :P

April 21, 2010 - 2:09 PM

jessica - haha!!!! i can see a little resemblence…but maybe cousins? hehe…When i first brought Gabe to work to meet everyone they all thought we looked exactly like brother and sister too…hehe….

April 19, 2010 - 10:10 AM

Lindsay - First, I can see it…but I’m glad you don’t share the same hari-on-chest-trait!! =)
Second, we LOVED doing the shoot with you guys yesterday!! I don’t care what anyone says, EVERYONE should do a family shoot three times a year!! =) You both are so fun!!! How sweet to get to spend some time with you together…it was awesome!!

April 17, 2010 - 2:10 PM

Nina - Haha I don’t think you look alike… but I do wish we could get some of your good looks in this fam!

April 17, 2010 - 8:30 AM

Noël - Yes!

April 17, 2010 - 7:57 AM

Stef - Nope!
P.S. In response to your older post, my favorite thing about Houston is that my favorite movie (Reality Bites) takes place there!
