Gardens of Bammel Lane Wedding: Abby & Sean

I’ve been waiting to share this extra sweet wedding day with y’all for aaages. Okay, more like a week and a half. :) But truly… Abby and Sean have been nothing short of wonderful since day one. Their love is one that is both quiet and unyielding. Their love is one you can feel the instant they lock eyes. Abby and Sean are inspiring. And their wedding day was much the same. With details executed impeccably, and 130 of their closest family and friends to encourage them onward… We were so blessed and thankful to be a part of it. A&S – We hope you enjoy this peek at our most favorite images from your big day! XOXO!!

Anna Schindler with Kathleen’s Decorative Service Florist made some incredible bouquets.

Something blue. :)
Abby and Sean exchanged hand-written letters shortly before their ceremony. And it was beautiful…
This was one faaabulous bridal party.
A perfect set of genes, and Flawless Studio, are responsible for this gorgeous face. And the dress is by Tara Keely!!
Ceremony time!!
I was totally diggin’ the drama that the lighting at Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church provided.
Thank you wedding party! You were a dream.
Let’s get right down to favorites, shall we? I luuurve this shot from the B/G portrait portion of the day.
I told you you could feel it… :)
We then finished up at the ever-so-swoon-worthy Gardens of Bammel Lane.
Let this image serve as a shout-out to one of the best assistants in the whole wide world, miss Kaley Gross. And also as an example of the pure awesomeness of this reception!!
We were SO fortunate that the only rain we got that day was as much as you can see on that cute little chalkboard below.
Many thanks to the lovely Kayleigh Entsminger of Lovely Events for her planning expertise…
Party Thyme Catering provided the cake, and these Scrabble pieces provided the instructions. To eat it. ;) (A fun FYI… Sean proposed to Abby on a Scrabble board. And we just love how they incorporated little pieces of the best game ever into their day!)
The first and very special dances begin…
Favorite. :)
And a grand sparkler exit concluding one super sweet wedding.

Happy Thursday!!

Abby Grace - Just so you know? That last shot is easily the best sparkler shot I’ve ever seen. EASILY. I love your detail shots at the beginning, especially the ones of her pearls and bouquet. Gorgeous portraits! And that reception venue is gorgeous! The glass-enclosed dining area is too perfect.

Tidbit Tuesday #96

Last week, when my computer turned off all on its own and refused to turn back on, I did two things. I scheduled an appointment at the Genius Bar, and then I made a mental list of all the life-giving things I could now fully live out while computer-less. I organized and cleaned every nook and cranny of this apartment. I made apple pie. I did laundry. (Okay, that one isn’t necessarily what I’d call “life-giving.”) I had longer phone conversations with my family. I made zucchini gratin. I spent more time in worship and prayer. I played a lot more with my baby dog. Basically? I lived. And as annoying as being computer-less was, it was also completely wonderful. Now I just have to try to remember that lesson when my computer IS working. Which it is. Obviously. :)

Dylan got the new iPhone last week, and he’s been like a kid in a candy store ever since. Though I bet any Blackberry-turned-iPhone user would feel the same. (Ask me in February.) But the icing on the cake is thinking Dylan’s talking to ME, when he’s actually talking to Siri. Asking her to make him a pie. Asking her who her daddy is.. Asking her to sing him a song… And you KNOW it’s gotten bad when I’ve started asking my BB to do things for me. It just sits there…

The other morning I woke up from the most bittersweet dream about my 19-year-old brother. As you’ll see, it turns out my computer-saga had quite the effect on my subconscious/unconscious. That. Or I’d seen the preview for JT’s new movie, In Time. In this dream, the length of people’s lives depended on how much space they had left on their internal “hard drive.” Once no space was left, one could either end his/her life, or reset the drive… In essence, turning them back into a baby. (I know, I’m SO totally cool, right?) Anyway, Cam’s hard drive was running out of space, so my parents decided to turn him into a 3-year-old. I kid you not, Internet, I legit saw and heard my baby brother exactly as he was as a 3-year-old. And as absolutely creepy as this dream was… It was actually super sweet to see that boy again. Super fat head, Power Rangers paraphernalia and all…

This weekend, Dylan and I are going to our first wedding as guests in three years. I am basically besiiide myself with excitement. But goodness, what do non-photographers WEAR to a wedding?! Ah, yes. They wear heels! I’m busting them out, friends. Like never ever before. :)

Once upon a time, I was at a friend’s house, standing beside an electric fence, and petting a horse standing WAY to close to it. When that horse accidentally stumbled into it, I felt that shock travel through the core of my being. It was scary. But it was funny. In a WHO-gets-shocked-THROUGH-a-horse kind of way. Fast forward nearly a decade, and it’s Saturday, October 15, 2011. I’m trying to both hold the power strip and plug in one of many external hard drives at the same time, with ONE hand. And suddenly I’m back in a field full of horses, with waves of electricity shooting through my body from right to left. I burst into tears from the pure shock of it all (See what I did there?) and Dylan has absolutely NO idea what is happening… He quickly figures it out, comforts me, and then we laugh. In a WHO-gets-shocked-THROUGH-a-horse-and-THEN-a-hard-drive kind of way.

Song of the Week: Crosses by Jose Gonzales. Really, I could listen to Jose and only Jose for the rest of my life. But this song in particular is simply and incredibly the best. Ever. How one song can sound so depressing yet make me so happy is beyond me. But I’ll take it! Listen to Crosses HERE.

I have such a beautiful wedding day to share with you this week! And it’s just ready and waiting for the publish button. So come back on Thursday to see more of Abby and Sean’s Gardens of Bammel Lane wedding!! Aren’t they gorgeous together?!

Happy Tuesday!!

Discovery Green Engagement: Kira & Shaun

Today I am thankful. In what other job would I get to work with people so happy, so in love, and so gosh darn gorgeous? In what other job would I leave my “shifts” feeling as if I’d made yet two more beautiful friends? Today I am thankful for Kira and Shaun… For their excitement, for their trust, and for wearing their hearts on their sleeves. For each other. K & S, let it be known across all the blogosphere that I ADORE you. Thank you for your awesomeness. And thank you for allowing me to capture this sweet time in your lives together. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!! Oh March, come quuuickly!! XOXO!!

Discovery Green never leaves you wanting for great backdrops. And Kira and Shaun worked. it. out.
I wish I looked this good just WALKING. Sheesh.
These two know how to cuddle! LOVE this one. :)

Which one do you like better? This?
Or this? I, for one, couldn’t decide. So BOTH it is!
Kira, Kira, Kira… Would you look at yourself?! You’re gorgeous.
After a quick change we headed to the opposite side of the park!
Shaun looking as cool as ever.
I loved how Kira’s dress brought out the hues of the gardens around her.
These two make me happy just by seeing them happy…
Don’t you feel it?? :)

Happy Thursday!!
