Aurora Inn Wedding: Sarah & Jeff

They were childhood neighbors. Not Sarah and Jeff… But André and Jim. My dad and Sarah’s dad. :) My father’s had nothing but fond memories of the Burton family since he was about four years old. So when he and Jim reconnected via Facebook a good 40+ years later and Jim reached out concerning his daughter’s engagement and MY photography, I knew I was soon to like this Burton family too… I just didn’t know how much. :)

Two Saturdays ago, I met Sarah and Jeff for the very first time, and I can now say wholeheartedly – I LOVE this couple. They gave me their full trust, and I couldn’t be more proud of these images BECAUSE of that gift. And their excitement. And the way they hold each other without my asking them to. And because of how drop-dead-GORGEOUS they are as man and wife… That they would choose ME – a photographer based 1,700 miles away – to document their love story? Well, that is also a gift. One for which I’m inexplicably grateful. XOXO!!

Sarah was lucky enough to snatch up this phenomenal Priscilla of Boston wedding gown before their closing! (WAIT until you see it on her.) And those Badgley Mischka’s? Also to die for…

A very special thank you to Kris and Sarah from Makeup On Demand. You girls worked FAST and made this bride and her friends look positively stunning! I mean, SERIOUSLY. Look at her…

Sarah’s sister Dana was the single-most helpful/sweet MOH e.v.e.r. Not to mention utterly fabulous!!

Both the bride and groom only had one attendant for their wedding (LOVE) but Sarah was sure to surround herself with her closest of friends during the getting-ready portion of the day! Cheers. :)

I’m not sure I could love any other “getting ready” picture as much as I ADORE this one…

Off in the guys’ room, Jeff was looking sharp. And making sure of it. :)

An incredibly thoughtful and fancy gift from his bride. He loved it, Sarah!!

I cannot stress enough what a PERFECT decision it is to have a first look on your wedding day. I have a feeling Sarah and Jeff agree with me… You can read more about going the first-look-route HERE!!

Then came B/G portrait time! The Aurora Inn did NOT disappoint where beautiful backdrops were concerned…

Upstate NY brides! You MUST check out Plenty of Posies for your florals. See case-in-point below. :)

One of my all-time favorite images. I want to blow it up. And wallpaper my house with it.

This Stonehenge-like structure stole my heart. Coupled with sweet light and a pretty bride and groom…

Probably the image I’m most excited about. I think we were trying to get Sarah’s veil to catch the wind… But even when it didn’t, Sarah and Jeff still look ridiculously pro/gorgeous! :)

The four-person bridal party. If they were a band, this would be their album cover…

I loved seeing Sarah and Dana’s friendship through my lens. I just love siblings. :)

How could I not thank the ever-lovely Heather Davidson – the Inn’s planner/coordinator-extraordinaire?! If I didn’t live so far away, I’d have movie-marathon slumber parties/make friendship bracelets with this lady. Thank you, Heather, for ensuring that S & J’s day ran so smoothly, and for being so attentive to our needs as photogs!

Dad Jim and his girl. Things ’bout to get REAL. :)

A lakeside ceremony. Complete with boaters who don’t realize it. ;) (Let’s pretend that’s a real word, shall we?)

Married. And so, soo happy. :)

Another special thanks goes out to miss Allison Brophy – who worked tirelessly to assist me throughout the day. She is now an expert family member herder and bag carrier, among many other awesome things. THANK YOU!!

The Aurora Inn was responsible for all set-up, catering, AND this awesome cake! Bravo, team!!

Shooting toasts in natural light will never, EVER get old. Gahhh… :)

Words fail me… Sarah? Jeff? Your love melts me.

My most-loved daddy/daughter image ever. I love how you can read her emotion just through her eyelashes.

And we can’t forget Jeff dancing with his beautiful mother…

Sarah and Jeff grabbed me near the end of the night for some more sunset photos. I happily obliged!

And that is the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Flynn. :)

Congratulations to S & J… Leave them some warm wishes!!
