1 For Me // 1 For You | August 2012

If you think I’m posting this on a Monday because I forgot to post it yesterday, you’d be wrong. ;) I’m posting this on a Monday because a week from yesterday I’ll be shooting the wedding of one of my closest college friends, and therefore be unable to announce a 1 For Me // 1 For You winner until the following day! But enough about that already… THIS month’s contest is a little different. It should come as no surprise how often I have Pinterest on the brain. ;) And with settling into our new home, I have more than one Pinterest-inspired project on my to-do list. I’m going to go ahead and assume that you might have one too… Which brings us to August’s 1 For Me // 1 For You! But before we go there, let’s review the rules on how this all works:

  • What is it? It’s simple! If I have one of something that I find fashionable, functional, or just plain fun, I send the winner a duplicate. Though it’s slightly different this time around… :)
  • Who can enter? Friends, past/present clients, random readers, etc.! (Please see the not-so-fine print below for full rules and restrictions.)
  • How long do I have to enter? You’ll have until next Sunday, August 12th at midnight CST to enter. The winner will be chosen at random using the random number generator at Random.org and announced on Monday, August 13th.
  • BAM! How do I enter? You must comment (and answer the specific question asked at the end of this post) to enter. It’s easy!! Comments left via Facebook, Twitter or elsewhere will not be taken into consideration.
  • But why? Well, if you’re a pinner like myself, you probably have a project you’ve been wanting to tackle!

This month, I’m giving away some straight up CASH. Okay, that’s a lie… I’m giving away a pre-paid Visa card in the amount of $50 so you can make your Pinterest inspirations a reality! Maybe you want to dip-dye a dresser? Or fashion some DIY Instagram coasters? Use this Visa for your supplies! I myself will be working on a DIY Pinterest project within the next few weeks and THIS post will be holding me accountable to show you a before and after! I will either be wall-papering some bookshelves or creating my own terrariums. There are SO many options!!

Question to enter: If you won a $50 pre-paid Visa card, what Pinterest-inspired project would you complete with it? There may or may not be brownie points for linking to your exact pin in the comment section. ;)

Not-so-fine print: Only one entry allowed per person. All contestants must live within the continental United States and must be able to provide a valid mailing address upon winning. I am not responsible for items that are lost, stolen or damaged during shipment. The winner will have 24 hours to contact me and redeem the item or a new winner will be chosen.

Joanna Pape - I have been on a painting and canvas wall art kick…so much thanks to pinterest that I need to go stock up on a bunch more. You can only paint over the ones you don’t like so many times before you are left debating if you like one enough to set aside the urge to paint over it so you can create something new.
