Upstate NY Mini-Sessions are BACK!!

NY friends! Mini-sessions are BACK for a second year and I’m excited!! If you’ve ever wanted the AFP experience but didn’t want to travel to scorching-hot Houston to have it – I don’t blame you – now’s your chance. We’ll be holding mini-sessions at my family’s home in Sharon Springs (you check out the property HERE) on Saturday, July 20th from 5:00-8:00PM. This works out to SIX half-hour slots – 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30PM.

Investment for each session is $250 to be paid via PayPal (accepting all major credit cards) at the time of booking. Sessions must be paid in full, up front, and are non-refundable (except in the event of rain – see terms below). Each session will yield 15 fully-edited, high-res. images on disk with print permission, which will be postmarked for delivery within three weeks of your session date at the address provided while booking.

Due to our limited time, we strongly suggest choosing only one outfit for your session. You can bring a second outfit, but understand that the longer it takes to change, the less time we’ll have for shooting. Remember that coordinating (as opposed to matching) is awesome! Try to avoid solid blacks or whites if you can, as well as graphic apparel. But definitely accessorize! One session per person/family. PLEASE also be prepared to arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can keep everything on schedule for subsequent sessions.

If you’re interested and ready to book your slot, please do so AFTER reading the very important terms of agreement below! I’ll be doing my best to keep this post updated as each session slot is taken off the market. IF a slot is unknowingly purchased by more than one buyer, refunds will be given immediately – with the first buyer claiming the session. NO session slot is officially booked until confirmed by ME via email. Session times followed by the words “NO LONGER AVAILABLE” have already been booked. But depending on demand, I *may* open up more slots. Show me whatcha got! And GO!

TERMS & CONDITIONS: By purchasing this session, the Client acknowledges that they have received, read, and agreed to all terms indicated in the information above and agreement below, and agrees to relay the details of this contract to any and all subjects involved in the session.

SERVICE COVERAGE & PAYMENT: The Client agrees that Alyse French Photography (hereinafter referred to as AFP) will furnish the services of professional photography for the selected session and time slot. The total fee for professional services and session coverage is $250.00, paid up front and in full via PayPal. Receipt of payment followed by a confirmation email from alyse@alysefrenchphotography.com officially reserves AFP’s services for the selected date/time.

CANCELLATION: In the event of a cancellation on behalf of the Client, the session fee is 100% non-refundable. In the event of rain on July 20, 2013, sessions will be rescheduled for the following day, Sunday, July 21, 2013. All sessions are to remain at the same time/place as previously scheduled with the exception of the date-change. If the back-up date (7/21) is rained out, AFP will provide affected Clients with a complete refund.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: AFP takes the utmost care with respect to the exposure, development, storage and delivery of photographs. AFP shall have no responsibility for fire or theft or liability for failure to supply any service when prevented from so doing by death, accidents, illness, equipment malfunction or any cause beyond AFP’s reasonable control. This limitation of liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or compact flash card malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without the fault of AFP. In such case, AFP’s entire liability is limited to a proportional refund for those services and/or products affected.

FAILURE TO PERFORM: Due to the limited and subjective nature of the event, AFP cannot be held responsible for requested photographs not taken or missed or lack of coverage resulting from weather conditions or schedule complications caused by, but not limited to, anyone in or at the session, or by location restrictions.

REVIEW, SELECTION & DELIVERY TIME: AFP will select the best 15 images captured during the session consistent with the highest standards of taste and judgment. The Client will not be given an opportunity to review or purchase images taken but not selected for delivery by AFP. Said number of images will be recorded on disk at high-resolution, ready to print and post at the Client’s convenience. It is the intention of AFP to postmark said disk for delivery to the Client within three weeks after the session date. AFP recommends making multiple backups of images, as AFP cannot be held responsible for keeping images on file for more than one year past the session date. Federal Copyright Laws protects these images in all ways possible under current law. (See below.)

CREATIVE LICENSE & RETOUCHING: All images are to be edited at AFP’s discretion prior to delivery, with AFP being granted total artistic control over the final images. The Client understands that the images AFP aims to produce will be of similar style and caliber to the images shown on the AFP website and blog. AFP maintains a natural approach for image editing in the form of basic white balance, exposure, and contrast adjustments. Although efforts may be made to avoid environmental issues and effects, AFP is not responsible for the retouching of any image, including but not limited to the correction of blemishes, hair/makeup, environmental effects, clothing, reflections in glasses, as well as the removal/insertion of fixtures, etc. All images will be delivered in color for the purpose of being printed in either color or black and white.

SESSION LOCATION & MISC. DETAILS: All sessions will take place exclusively at the French residence in Sharon Springs, NY – address to be disclosed upon session purchase. All consecutive sessions last for 30 minutes from start to finish, with no additional time being allotted for walking, outfit changes, etc. Sessions will start promptly at the times indicated. Client lateness will result in a shorter session and the possibility of proportionally less images received. The Client agrees to allow AFP full creative control over the session including suggestions of location and pose. AFP will not be held responsible for any injuries, vehicles’ towing, etc. which occur during or after a session. Only one session permitted per person/family.

PRINTS & OTHER PRODUCTS: Client will have the option of ordering prints and other products directly through AFP, to be invoiced separately and apart from this contract. Possession of all products shall remain with AFP until paid in full.

MODEL RELEASE & USE PERMISSIONS: The Client agrees that AFP may reproduce, publish, or exhibit a judicious selection of such photographs as samples of photographic work to be shown to prospective clients in the form of in-studio displays, advertising, website and blog images, and for instructional or institutional purposes consistent with the highest standards of taste and judgment. The Client hereby waives the right to inspect and/or approve any finished product or the written copy that may be used in connection therewith, or the use to which it may be applied.

FEDERAL COPYRIGHT LAWS: AFP owns all original files and retains the rights to reproduction of any images produced in connection with this agreement. Profiting off of any photograph is hereby prohibited and protected under Federal Copyright Laws, and will be enforced to the full extent of the law allowable.

SEVERABILITY: In the event of failure to comply with the terms of this contract, liability of AFP is limited to refund of monies paid in the contracted amount. All parties to this contract hereby agree that said refund shall terminate any further liability to this agreement.
