The benefit of spacing these Tidbit Tuesday posts out is how much MORE I have to say once it’s been a couple weeks… You see, I’m currently in my second week of eating raw/stuff God actually intended us to eat – so I have all SORTS of YUM on the brain :) For the record though, I still plan on being a normal person as much as is necessary. For instance… It is perfectly necessary to consume at least one scoop of ice cream per week. The goal is to be healthy-ER. Not perfect. And that’s a life-style I can get behind whole-heartedly! :)

Speaking of perfect… Yesterday I posted THIS Instagram that got some people talking about the words we carry with us for decades and decades on end. For me, it was being called football-player “big” by a boy in middle school. Much to Dylan’s ridiculous amusement, I’ll ask from time to time – “I’m not… like… as big as a rugby player or something. Am I??” I’ve learned that swapping stories of words we should have filtered but didn’t can be quite therapeutic. So who has ape hands like yours truly?! To be fair, I think that one is actually 100% accurate ;)

Oh Seattle is calling my name! We’ll be making a trip in celebration of our three-year wedding anniversary on Thursday and simultaneously milking our Southwest companion status for all it’s worth before 2014 hits us. AND since my brother is interning at the University of Washington this summer, we’ll get to spend a whole day with him :) Get ready for an Instagram explosion! #MorrisseysDoSeattle! Any fun recs for us?!

Song of the Week: Furious by Jeremy Riddle. I am currently obsessed with any and all music coming out of Bethel Church in Redding, CA. But the message of this song in particular is literally life-altering. “His love is deep. His love is wide. And it covers us… His love is fierce. His love is strong. It is furious…. His love is sweet. His love is wild. And it’s waking hearts to LIFE!” Good grief, Jeremy. THANK YOU for writing this song!!

I’m currently working on a post for early next week. But until then, here’s a little sneak :) Just love Christina and Hart! I have a feeling this post may be a big one… XOXO!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Life is moving fast around here, friends. Okay… not necessarily fast – but there is WAY a lot of stuff going on. :) I’m currently a couple days away from being caught up on every bit of work on my plate and then celebrating with ice cream for days and days on end. God is pursuing me in ways I can’t even begin to explain. (I’m THIS close to starting a different blog on the subject!) And I’m gearing up for all SORTS of fun trips. Can you believe it’s basically SUMMER?! First up is a weekend in San Antonio with my two favorite boys (yes – we’re bringing Sully!!) and then a few days in Texas Hill Country with my favorite girls. Come quickly, sweet vacay!!

Dylan and I saw The Great Gatsby this past Friday. I have never before seen such RIDICULOUS cinematography! It made the photojournalist in me very, very happy and inspired. But having completely forgotten the story line (I think I read it in eighth grade?) I left the theatre a LOT sadder than I found it. On a much lighter note though, Leo is one of the most phenomenal actors alive… PLEASE finally give this man the Oscar he DESERVES!

Song of the week: Who am I kidding? I have FOUR songs of the week this go-around. House of God, Forever and Your Love is Strong by Jon Foreman, One Thing Remains by Brian Johnson, and Tell the World (feat. Mali Music) by Lecrae. That’s a pretty good array of new songs, amiright? SO GOOD.

I really can’t wait to show you Sarah and Michael’s anniversary session on the blog tomorrow morning! I’m tempted to post it today, since it’s just sitting here waiting for me to hit “publish.” But, I’ve gotta keep a little mystery in this relationship, don’t I? Until then, here’s a peek of my favorite-favorite shot!!

Happy Tuesday, friends! XO!!

It’s been a LONG time, Tidbit Tuesday! But I’ll blame that on the fact that I’ve been easily distracted by visiting friends and salmonella poisoning. (Which visited me, but is definitely NOT a friend!) The good news is that I’ve FINALLY turned a corner and will hopefully be 100% myself within the next few days. Thank God for my mom and ibuprofen and thermometers and really bland food to get me over the hump! :)

My dad’s a history buff. And inconsequently, a wine/Lincoln/Reagan buff… (Hey – I always know what to get him for Christmas!) Most recently he’s been researching our family tree. We’ve always known our great-grampa times nine was Juan Ponce de Leon (Spanish explorer and conquistador who searched for the fountain of youth and founded Florida). But we didn’t know until last week that we ARE in fact related to Daniel Chester French – sculptor of the LINCOLN MEMORIAL. You might be able to imagine how excited we all are about THAT one. So tell me… What’s your most fascinating family tie?! Are you related to the queen of England??

Song of the Week: My Dear by Bethel Music’s The Loft Sessions. Oh good grief… There is NOTHING like this song to remind me of how wonderful and FUN and life-transforming my God is. Unfortunately, it’s not on Spotify. But you can listen to it AND watch it HERE. Pretty please give it a listen? And then listen to it again. And again.

In case you missed it, info on NY mini-sessions is UP! So far, two sessions have been booked. But four are still up for grabs! Whatever you do, make sure you read the FULL post before signing up. You can do so HERE. In the meantime, you can also enjoy this pretty picture from Saturday. Holley and Josh will be blogged soon!!

Happy Tuesday!!
