At this point, you probably already know… my name is Alyse and I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Houston, TX. But as the most exciting part of this industry is really getting to know so many beautiful couples and their love stories, it just wouldn’t be fair to you if I left it at that.
Alas, I grew up in a small farm-town where the cows outnumber people. Where there were 21 people in my high school graduating class. And where I’ve kept the same best friend for 16 years. As the years went by, my chosen career path changed from zoology, to rock stardom, to interior design, to professional ice cream taste-testing, to broadcast journalism. But no matter how many times I changed my mind, one thing stayed the same: my desire to create… My passion to give life to the overflow of ideas in my head. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was channeling this enthusiasm for art into photography. Photography as both a hobby and a career.
As a prior photojournalism student at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, I’ve been well versed in the art of composition, filling the frame and waiting for moments. I know I’m on the right career path when I get home from a shoot and absolutely, completely, and utterly can’t wait to edit for hours on end. Ultimately, it’s about you, the client. It’s about your wedding day. Your engagement. Your family, children, pregnancy. Your senior portraits or head shots. And your satisfaction – by far the most fabulous and rewarding part of my job.

And a “Meet me!” section could never be complete without mentioning Dylan – my business partner, my best friend, my confidant, my ultimate support, and my husband. We enjoy random dates to Barnes & Nobel, Orbit Sweet Mint gum, and shooting people… With our cameras. :)

Many thanks to our dear friend Gina Meola. The pictures in this section and the above header would be nonexistent without her.
